Doctor schedules define when each doctor is available to see patients. The AI strictly respects these schedules — it will never offer a slot outside the hours you define.

Setting working hours

Open a doctor’s profile from Dashboard → Doctors and go to the Working Hours section. For each day of the week, you can:
  • Enable or disable the day (toggle on/off)
  • Set a start time for the first appointment of the day
  • Set an end time after which no new appointments are scheduled
The appointment duration you set on the doctor’s profile determines how slots are carved up within these hours. Example:
The end time is when the last appointment starts, not when it ends. If a doctor works until 2:00 PM with 20-minute slots, the last slot is 1:40 PM (ending at 2:00 PM).

Days of the week

Kashfy follows the Egyptian work week. All 7 days are configurable. A typical Egyptian clinic schedule might be: You can configure any combination of days per doctor — different doctors can have different working days.

Multiple time blocks per day

If a doctor has a split schedule (e.g., morning session and evening session), you can add multiple time blocks for the same day:
  • Morning: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Evening: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
The AI will offer slots from both blocks when patients ask about availability.

Checking booked vs. available slots

From Dashboard → Appointments, filter by doctor to see their full schedule for any given day — which slots are booked, which are open, and which are complete.
Doctors can also see their own schedule in the Doctor Portal. When logged in with a doctor account, they see a daily view of their upcoming appointments.

What happens when a day is fully booked

When all slots for a specific doctor on a specific day are taken, the AI will not offer that day and will instead suggest the next available date. It never overbooks.

Availability Overrides

Block specific dates for holidays or time off without changing the regular schedule.
